Advent Art Alchemy

December 15 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Sunday, December 15
12:30pm-2:00pm EST
Via Zoom
Free Will Offering

As we prepare to welcome the light this Advent, join us on an adventure of art and alchemy. Alchemy is traditionally defined as the early practice of attempting to transmute base metals into precious metals like gold. In a more integral sense, alchemy seeks the union of body and soul to produce one’s magnum opus, or “great work.”

Over the course of this ninety minute program, we will be guided through an art exercise accompanied by readings from Christian scripture, writings from mystic Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, Jungian insight, music, and opportunities to share.

As we hold together the different, and commonly opposing, parts of our lives, we will journey together to discover the light that is emerging within us and within the world.

Registration is open to all. You do not need to be a skilled artist to participate. Participants will be provided with printable materials in advance. So, you will need access to a printer along with a quiet space and colored pencils or markers.

To register, email andrew.delrossi@gmail.com
