Come to a molecular tea party! Join Michelle Francl, author of Steeped: The Chemistry
of Tea, for a deep dive into what is in a cup of tea. We will taste different teas and enjoy
traditional teatime snacks while exploring why Earl Grey is so calming and why caffeine
gets us so excited.
What can we learn about tea from the study of meteorites? Why is black mold good for
tea? What can adding a pinch of salt do for a cup of tea?
