Rachel Katz, educator, author, and longtime student of Qigong, will lead the workshop. Katz has over 25 years of experience as an educator, school leader, and program developer for children. She has created content for Nick Jr. and has written books such as The Emotionally Intelligent Child: Effective Strategies for Parenting Self-Aware, Cooperative, and Well-Balanced Kids (New Harbinger, 2023) and The Big Book of Big Feelings (New Harbinger, 2025). From 1995 to 2016, Katz lived in China, where she studied Qigong with master teachers across the country. Her approach to Qigong is rooted in making ancient practices accessible and easy to integrate into daily life. Katz’s goals: make learning joyful and give students the simple, powerful tools to use long after the class ends.
