Led by Sam and Paula Guarnaccia, we will explore and discuss the value of Teilhard’s thinking for the present day. As we focus on the emerging future with the multiple crises of catastrophic biodiversity loss and climate emergency, why study Teilhard? What does he have to offer our modern world dilemmas? Is there power and possibility for humanity’s transformation in exploring Teilhard’s extraordinary sense of reverence, awe, and devotion—his love of beauty, and his fascination with music, “the magic of sound” and its power to evoke deep emotion, inspiration, and an experience of the ‘divine’?
